Daniel F. Sherman, President
The Joseph Leroy and Ann C. Warner Fund
Daniel F. Sherman serves as President of the Joseph Leroy and Ann C. Warner Fund, continuing the legacy of his father, Peter Sherman, who founded the organization and served as its first President. With a B.A. in Fine Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Daniel brings the perspective of an artist to his leadership role, shaping the Fund’s mission through a deep commitment to creativity, education, and child welfare.
Daniel is a dedicated advocate for the children supported by the Fund’s grantees. He uses his creative background to help identify organizations that not only deliver essential services but also harness the transformative power of the arts. His unique vision has helped elevate projects that foster healing, self-expression, and growth through artistic engagement.
He also created and oversees the Peter Sherman Scholarship Program, which reflects his father’s belief in education as a powerful tool for change.
Outside of his work with the Fund, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors—fly fishing, boating, and camping—often accompanied by his dog, June. His appreciation for nature influences his philanthropic outlook and his belief in nurturing environments where young people can thrive.
